A customer enquiry arrives in the inbox. Details about the load or supporting documents are still missing before a reliable quotation can be prepared. Dispatchers follow up and transfer information into other systems. At Vimoki, we call this preparatory work the clarification burden.
Alexander Krieg and Boris Gloger discuss where AI can help with this process, from customer enquiries by email through to a quotation. They also look at handovers between applications where staff currently have to enter information again.

What can be tested in operations
A suitable starting point is a recurring task involving missing information or repeated data entry. The team can record which questions need asking regularly and where work gets held up. This provides a basis for assessing whether AI support helps later.
Alex also describes his personal experience of writing quotations. This does not establish a general time-saving promise for other businesses. The people responsible continue to review and approve quotations.
